Now through June 10, Old Bear Records and UTR Media will be teaming up for a Kickstarter opportunity to reissue the historic 1981 Zion album Behold The Man– the first-ever studio recordings of the songs of Rich Mullins! If successful, this will be the first vinyl pressing of Zion’s album in 45 years, and the first time it’s ever been made available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Our goal is to raise $25K to fund all the costs associated with the reissue. If we reach the stretch goal of $50K, we can double the size of the project and release a whole album’s worth of tracks Zion recorded as demos but never had a proper release.

In the late 1970s, a young songwriter named Rich Mullins formed a ministry band with his Cincinnati-area friends – touring the midwest as an independent band. Their only studio album Behold The Man released in 1981, and opens with “Praise To The Lord,” which was later discovered and recorded by Amy Grant with the new title “Sing Your Praise To The Lord,” becoming one of the most recognizable songs in Christian music history.
We were recently honored by Kickstarter as one of the “Projects We Love,” which Kickstarter describes as “our way of highlighting brilliant examples of creativity.” Our campaign receives a special badge and will be featured more prominently on the website.
This is an “all of nothing” campaign. If we don’t hit 100% of our funding goal by our deadline of 6/10/26, we won’t receive a single $1. You can get involved now, help the campaign, and receive some very special rewards… including vinyls, CDs, tees, video interviews, and getting your name in the liner notes. VIEW KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN
