On October 4-7, 2018 several hundred writers, painters, musicians, poets, designers, and lovers of faith-inspired art will descend onto Franklin, TN for the 9th annual Hutchmoot conference (and 9th consecutive sell-out) – a gathering hosted by our good friends at The Rabbit Room.  UTR Media is thrilled to be one of the sponsoring partners of the event, and we can’t wait to see familiar faces and make new friends.

It’s always a thrill whenever we can partner with The Rabbit Room because their mission and ethos as an organization are in line with ours. They are a good role model for us in community building, content creation, and non-profit business.  In some ways, it feels like The Rabbit Room is UTR’s older & wiser brother, and we are learning a lot about life and ministry by occasionally riding shotgun.

By some stroke of unexpected providence, UTR was asked to help organize and host a multi-artist showcase on the main stage at Hutchmoot on the third night (Oct. 6). Because of some changes to the typical Hutchmoot schedule, this session will be the only all-music multi-artist event the whole gathering. This is not only an incredible opportunity to tell some very like-minded folks about who we are and what we do – but also a time to celebrate what we are most passionate about: gourmet music.

With purposeful intention, we will be featuring live performances from three artists familiar to the Rabbit Room community (Eric Peters, Son of Laughter, Arthur Alligood) as well as three artists that might be new discoveries for many (Brettan Cox, Wild Harbors, Drakeford). We are giddy with excitement. It will be fun to give folks a “live” taste of what UTR Media is all about, and for a few hundred people to have their hearts stirred by these incredible songwriters.

We’re not yet sure if we’ll be allowed to record or live-stream the showcase, but we’ll be investigating that possibility.  If it works out, the showcase will begin close to 9:00PM CT on October 6 — and we’ll keep it under 90 minutes.  Otherwise, we will plan to write a recap about our time at Hutchmoot the second week of October.

[A special thank you to a small handful of amazing UTR supporters who (without any fanfare) gave above-and-beyond gifts to help cover our costs to be at Hutchmoot and make this exciting opportunity possible!]
