Special Menu: Christmas (Dec 2019)

2019-11-27T00:46:02+00:00

Can you imagine celebrating the Christmas season without music?  Neither can we, and we have 44 hand-curated songs to enjoy any time you need to take a break from hearing Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, and Mariah Carey non-stop.  We hope you enjoy the variety and high-quality songs from some of UTR’s favorite artists, and serve as a gentle reminder of the centerpiece of the holiday – a baby “born that man no more may die!”

CURATOR’S NOTES – DEC. 2019

While I find nothing wrong with holiday classics like “Winter Wonderland” and “Holly Jolly Christmas,” I decided on this year’s playlist to really focus entirely on the birth of Jesus.  All of the songs directly celebrate our Savior’s arrival — sometimes in the form of advent hymns like “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” and “Angels We Have Heard on High,” and sometimes in the form of new original songs.  One fun side note, many other Christmas playlists out there either have an artist repeated a bunch, or maybe you get seven versions of “Joy to the World,” THIS playlist doesn’t repeat any artists or song titles – more variety for your holiday soundtrack.
